About The Leadership Practice

Leadership isn't just something we talk about. It's something we practice.

Meet the Founder

Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work with, learn from, and lead alongside many different people. Some were exceptional leaders who brought out the best in those around them. Others, despite their experience, expertise, or good intentions, struggled with some of the most important responsibilities of leadership.

Those experiences shaped my perspective and ultimately inspired me to create The Leadership Practice.

I've seen the difference between leaders who build trust and those who create uncertainty. Between those who embrace difficult conversations and those who avoid them. Between those who take responsibility and those who look for someone else to blame. I've witnessed how a lack of transparency, communication, and collaboration can undermine even the most talented teams.

But I've also experienced what great leadership makes possible. When people feel valued, trusted, empowered, and supported, they gain the confidence to contribute, grow, and do their best work.

Over time, I came to believe something deeply: Leadership isn't defined by a title, position, or intention. It's defined by our behavior and the experience we create for others.

That belief became the foundation of The Leadership Practice.

I created this business because I believe effective leadership can be learned, strengthened, and practiced. It requires self-awareness, accountability, confidence in your decisions, and the willingness to listen, learn, and take responsibility for the impact you have on others. It means leading with conviction and integrity while remaining open to perspectives that challenge your own.

My approach to leadership development is grounded in real experiences and the everyday moments that challenge leaders most. The conversations we need to have. The decisions we make. The responsibility we take. The trust we build. These are the moments that define our leadership.

My goal is to help people develop the skills, confidence, and perspective to lead with greater intention, navigate challenges more effectively, and bring out the best in those around them.

Because ultimately, better leadership isn't just about the leader. It's about creating a better experience for everyone they have the privilege and responsibility to lead.

Why The Leadership Practice?

Leadership isn't developed simply by attending a workshop or learning a new concept. It grows through experience, reflection, and the willingness to approach challenges differently.

After years of working with leaders in education, athletics, and beyond, I've seen how often people are expected to lead without having opportunities to practice the skills that matter most.

That's why I created The Leadership Practice: to make leadership development more practical, engaging, and relevant to the situations people face every day. It's about creating space to learn, grow, and become more intentional in how we lead.
